Today was a great day at Karen’s. We worked all the dogs from 6am to 12pm then took the whole crew down to the creek for a swim. Proton has been in water a lot but not deep enough to swim in yet. We got her wet and swimming around but was not too enthused with it. Bob’s pup Sage was a little motor boat.

Hope all is well in NY. Our family is in love with Klaus. He is such a wonderful dog; he’s almost too good to be true. Our older dogs have taken a little while to get used to having a puppy around, but Klaus is so loving they finally have started to come around. He hasn’t had any accidents in the house and we hardly need a leash cause he walks directly alongside my dad and/or I, but, man, does he love to play in the mud. He does not like the heat either. He’ll sprawl out on the brick or marble floor or plop on down in the nearest puddle. ha!
We got a stool sample after the plane ride and we recently took him into the vet for a check up, and everything is a-ok! The vet was so impressed with Klaus that my dad was worried the vet was going to steal him. Again, thanks for everything.

Kyle, K-9 Drago, and Wally Fulford
Wally and I try train together once a week with K-9 Drago, who is currently certified as a Narcotics K-9 for the Ulster County Sheriffs Department. Drago is a pup out of my Quax / Lee litter from 11/20/07. I am helping them with some foundational tracking skills. Very proud of the dedication that they have as a K-9 team.
