About Kyle
From the time Kyle brought home his first bird dog at ten years old, dogs have always been in his blood. Kyle's passion for the companionship of dogs and their abilities has brought him to where he is today. To date, he has worked with more than 3,500 people and 4,500 dogs, encompassing many breeds, in over 400,000 professional hours of one-on- one programs as a full time dog trainer since 1996. It’s safe to say that he is the headquarters of field experience when it comes to canine behavior. Kyle works with people and their dogs in relationship fundamentals of basic & advanced obedience, rehabbing aggressive behaviors, problem solving undesired behaviors, upland bird and waterfowl hunting; search and rescue in area search, both live-find and cadaver, and tracking / trailing.
Kyle's experience with dogs goes well beyond training and behavior as he has a wealth of field experience with medical and nutritional needs of the canine. He has worked in animal hospitals, both private and emergency clinics, for several years, as well as in a family-owned pet food and supply store that his family has owned since he was a young teenager. Kyle’s dogs and students are his family— his pack.
Kyle lived in upstate New York for the first forty years of his life and grew a flourishing dog training business in the Catskills and Hudson Valley region. Today he and his family reside in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (UP) on their homestead. Kyle’s childhood passion that sparked his canine obsession was with bird dogs and in the UP, Kyle is in the heart of the Upper Midwest’s ruffed grouse hunting region here in the Lake States. Kyle raises and trains setters for grouse hunting. He works with people in person today for ALL their canine needs from A-Z from April to September here in the Northwoods. This includes everything listed in Kyle’s credentials and several summer time handler clinics that are two to three day events from the Fundamentals to grouse dog handling clinics. Once Mid September rolls around Kyle lives in the woods from sun up to sun down every day with his dogs during Michigan and Wisconsin’s ruffed grouse hunting season. Year round Kyle provides fantastic virtual dog training services to dog owners all over the country in conjunction with the use of his digital products the training experience is second to none. During the winter months Kyle often travels back to upstate New York to offer dog training intensive courses in the Catskills and Hudson Valley region.
